This page explains how to request deletion of your CountMentor account and the data associated with it. CountMentor is the app and developer name shown on the Google Play Store. By following the steps below, you can request that we delete your account and the personal data we hold about you.
2. Steps to Request Account Deletion
To request deletion of your CountMentor account and associated data:
- Contact us by email. Send an email to countmentor@gmail.com from the email address linked to your CountMentor account (or the one you used to sign up).
- State your request clearly. In the email, state that you wish to delete your CountMentor account and all associated data. You may use the subject line: "Account deletion request".
- Verify your identity (if needed). We may ask you to confirm your identity or the email address associated with your account so we can process your request securely.
- Wait for confirmation. We will process your request and confirm once your account and data have been deleted, typically within 30 days.
If you signed in anonymously and do not have an email linked to your account, please still contact us and describe how you use the app (e.g. device or in-app identifier) so we can try to locate and delete the relevant data.
3. Data We Delete When You Request Account Deletion
When we process your deletion request, we will delete or anonymize:
- Account and authentication data: Your email address, account credentials, and any profile information tied to your account.
- App usage and progress data: Your saved progress, preferences, in-app activity, and any other data stored in our systems and linked to your account or device.
- Waitlist data (if applicable): If you joined our waitlist with the same email, we will remove that contact data as part of your request.
4. Data We May Retain and Retention Period
We may retain the following where permitted by law:
- Legal and compliance: Copies of data may be retained as required by law (e.g. tax, legal claims, or regulatory requirements). Such retention will not exceed the period required by applicable law.
- Backups: Data may persist in backup systems for a limited time (typically up to 90 days) before being overwritten. We do not use backup data for active processing once your account is deleted.
- Anonymized or aggregated data: We may keep data that has been anonymized or aggregated so that it can no longer identify you, for analytics and improving our services.
5. After Deletion
Once your account is deleted, you will no longer be able to sign in or recover your progress. If you wish to use CountMentor again in the future, you will need to create a new account.
